pertronix ignitor help

I installed my ignitor 1 kit on my 460. I am not getting any spark at all. I tested my coil and all my wires and connections. They are good. I think the ignitor module may be bad, how do you test it? I had to shave the bottom of my rotor button down for the cap to seat right. Is this typical or is something out of shape?
