Just a little rant coming up here, but I'd like to hear what y'all think about this. My brother who is career military is going to be on a television show talking about part of his profession. I am naturally very proud of my brother and excited that he is going to be on TV, so I tell the folks at the office (an unnamed branch of the federal government). One of the 'people' I work with then asks me, "Are they going to gather his kids around the TV and say 'look there's Daddy killing the enemy?'" I found this remark very offensive. The only response I could muster was "that's a very strange thing to say" and went about my business. My question is this, do I have a right to offended or am I just being too darn sensitive? Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.
