To do an in frame overhaul right the tractor has be split so the real main seal can be replaced.It doesn't take that much more work to pull the block(16 bolts) ,so I take the block out,turn it upside down and power wash it.If that is not done then there is always some dirt and crud that never gets removed from the block no matter how hard you try.
