Say is the oring groove on that engine in the bottom of the sleeves or in the block.
if they are on the sleeve just clean the block for rust an put it together.
If it's like most engines that upper most oring does not go very deep in that bore.some engines not at all it's allmost like a safty.I use silicone lubicant to put them in have'nt had any trouble?
