I"ve used a single bottom for a garden or three, didn"t really like it, too large of furrow(16"- no surprise), used a 12" one bottom- not much better. I currently use a Ferguson fixed two bottom, way better, and just bought a Ford trip two bottom. Agree with Tom, should be able to find a good set of two bottom plows for a lot less than $470. Your tractor should handle it okay. Don"t worry if it isn"t "show-room" new, it"s not like you are plowing 200 acres with it.
