Sometimes you are better off to just punch the numbers and talk to a machine. The machine just might be more intelligent than the real live human. Case in point. The modem died in this computer shortly after it was new. I could not connect to the internet, so I put in a call to Gateway. After an honest 6 hours of trying to get through, I finally got a real live person on the other end. I told that young gal that the modem was dead, I could not connect to the internet, and I wanted to order a new modem. She proceeded to inform me that I could easily order that part on-line. I imagine her ears are still burning.
