That`s the truth, too. I now live back near my hometown in central MN. Just out of high school, I lived in East Grand Forks, and did dirt work. The company I worked for would go thru a good part of the winter, working at the beet plant. We`d go in and clean out the drainage lagoons. Talk about cold, sittin on a D8 with a makeshift heat houser, in -25 with a 30 mph wind. You got tough skinned in a hurry.
Lucky for us our shop was right behind the beet plant, so we`d walk most of the equipment back every night.
Now working mostly in my heated shop, I run outside at -5 and think I`m gonna freeze to death. I guess it`s all what you get used to though.
