Tim, the most important thing is to use parts that work well together. The Air gap intake is great for a car but not a truck. think torque. use an rv type cam , something like an edelbrock performer intake and a 600 cfm vac secondary carb. you want to keep air velocity high or you will kill the bottom end torque and it will not deliver good economy. if new aftermarket heads are not in the plan use D2TE castings, they will perform ok and have hardened exhaust seats. dave
