Coflyboy, I agree, anything that attracts attention will defray a burglar's interest. A friend of mine caught a guy in his garage one night and he beat the guy to a pulp, dragged him out the lane and threw him in the ditch, told him he knew who he was and where he lived and if the guy went to the police he would come after him, and if he was ever broken into again he would come after him...never a word after that night and never a break in.. the buglar didn't go to work for over a week, apparently his ribs were sore and one eye was swelled shut. More guys should take a crowbar to burglars. here in Ontario a break in artist usually gets probation and is right back at it the next night..the law here doesn't work. Most police officers will come and take a statement from you if you are burglered and that's just for insurance companies, after that they don't do a damned thing. I'd suggest putting a knife in the guys hand after you have beat him to a pulp, get his prints on it and you're home free...you're damned right I would..some sob comes in the dark of night to steal what I have worked hard for all my life...crowbar accross the side of the head and dumped on a road side.......
