I can push and get 1 pair to an acre with enough hay to feed them but I usually dont. Somewhere about 2 acres to the pair and hay to feed off that is more typical (I just dont like moving electric fence). I bought a tract of land down the road two years ago for a little over $7000 an acre at auction and the spring before got some for $500 an acre (net, sold off the house and a 2- 5 acre lots before I closed so it netted $500 for the land).
