Acres per cow calf

Mornin guys.

I meant to ask Allen the other day how many acres it would take to support a pair in an average year in his area?

We were talking about land prices in the area.

And I got to thinking maybe land cost per pair might be about the same.

Dryland in his area is around $400 per acre and around $3000 in my area.

But 2 acres of land will support a pair here.

How does this compare with the rest of you?
