Pest Horror Stories

Had heard of Army worms, but had never seen the damage they can do until now. Neighbor here in Georgia had his Bermuda grass hay field shredded in a matter of 24-72 hours. I"m guessing the hayfield is about 15-20 acres. It was amazing to me to see how quickly it happened. Went into the field and could see the "buggers" on just about every stalk of grass. I thought it would be interesting and educational to hear some othere people tell their Insect/Pest horror stories. Larry
