We've had army worms bad enough to have to spray them before in fall and replant new wheat they ate off. Has to be done real early when they are out. Get out there before daylight but you might not want to step out of vehicle and find the ground looks to be moving and can sure mess your shoes up. Cattle will eat tender kochia weeds here but army worms stripped those to just a stalk in pastures. They go after the most tender green thing they can find first.
