I would repower it with a small diesel, yes it is an extra engine to maintain but a diesl will start if it sets for a while, gas will gum up and get stale, diesl is safer to store. I have a PTO generator which I have to use to often it seems. And when the power is out for 8 to 40 hours it ties up my tractor, so that I can't use the loader during that time. If you made it PTO depending on the size of your tractor, for a full 15KW you only need about 30 HP, I would try to gear so that I wasn't at full PTO speed to run it 2/3 trottle would be a lot nicer on the tractor.
