Unfortunatly, your not the first person that I've heard from that had the same experience.

My brother bought one of the smaller tillers and it seems okay, but not near as heavily built as the ones in the past.

How long can a company survive on name alone?

Actually, it's a different generation and the younger folks seem to have a different way of thinking than we do.....

My father, expected to rebuild a water pump on his car.

I expected to replace a water pump on my car.

Todays generation expects the water pump to break in a few years and their solution is to just throw the car away and buy another one, on credit of course.

On the other hand, your mower lasted 18 years so sales are 18 years apart......you already have a noise in the new one so the sales cycle is likely to shorten to less than 5 years.

It's all about expectation.......sad, but I've been force to lower mine on the new stuff, and is another reason I love the old iron.......
