My 1975 Ford 3000 has an important oil leakage on the left side of the brake cross shaft (the clutch side).I suppose it is a seal leaking problem. Questions: Is the seal readily available only at New Holland Ford dealers or at any NAPA daelers? What would be the part number? Can an unexperienced person fix it? It seems quite easy to remove the shaft; is it really the case? Even if only the left side is leaking,is it better to change both sides to avoid future repairs? What would be the approximate cost to have the job done at the dealer?
