I am thinking of getting my crank welded. It is out of a 310 Waukesha/Oliver turbo diesel. I just need one rod journal built back up (spun bearing) All the other journals are stock. New cranks are pricey and was think of going this way. i found a shop 2 hrs away that weld diesel cranks. i just wonder if anyone else ever did this? Will the turbo put to much stress on the crank? Or if it is welded correct should i be safe?
