I reread your post and you said it lifts too fast. So if too fast with new style cylinders too it must have more pressure and flow than I was thinking it would have but wonder how much flow? Maybe a variable flow valve with a built in or adjustable relief valve? Lots of hydraulic stuff online at surpluscenter.com
