I was an Amsoil distributor many years ago. I will tell you what I have seen. I saw pictures of an engine that had used Amsoil for 75,000 miles and still had the original cylinder hone marks, from the factory. I trust the products. As to them being better than others, I simply do not know. I do know that Amsoil is good.
