I HAVE A 49 IH M W/ 12 V CONV. THE TRACTOR WAS NOT CHARGING SO I THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD ALTERNATOR. I WENT AND GOT A NEW ONE AND INSTALLED IT AND ITS THE SAME I HAD THE ALT. TESTED AND ITS GOOD. MY QUESTION IS THAT ITS A GM ALT W/INTERNAL REG THE #2 ONE THE REG HAS A JUMPER TO THE OUTPUT CHARGE WIRE BUT NOTHING ON THE # 1 CONNECTOR. I CHECKED OUT A OLDER CHILTON REPAIR MANUAL WIRE LAYOUT AND IT CLAIMS THAT THE #1 GOS TO 12V ALSO BUT STEPS DOWN THROUGH A RESISTOR CAN ANYBODY HELP ME W/ AN AWNSER TO GET THIS TO WORK CORRECTLY ??
