Joe you are probably right about the horn button being a "fix" for the starter switch. Never thought of that. I was thinking of the light housing in the middle of the gage cluster. My key switch was missing and had been straight wired when I got it but the started switch was still active. You are right about some of the things that you find on these old tractors. I guess that some of it is a result of just plain "don't think" but some of it was a result of some old farmer just doing the best he could with what he had on hand. Irregardless, it makes it interesting for those of us who inhereted it!!! Have a good day!!!
