O.T. cyl. head Ford 460???

I destroyed the right cyl head on my truck(pls dont ask how long story).My question is how important is it that I replace both sides now that I have the engine apart.My son the"mechanic" says that this should be done.The truck has 80,000 on it and I only use it to plow driveway and a few chores around the ranch here.It ran fine before I ruined the head.I really dont have the time and money to do the other side.So what are the pros and cons here. Thanks
