Good luck figuring out the number/lettering of tractor models!!!! :) When Ford came out with their compact series of tractors - basically Japaneese tractors assembled in the USA - they used the 1200, 1300, 1700, etc. numbering. The lower the number, the smaller. The bigger the number, the bigger the tractor. They were good, but basic. The next upgraded series of models were the 1210, 1510, 1710, etc. Little nicer. Few years later they upgraded to the xx20 series. So, a 1700, 1710, & 1720 would be the same tractor, upgraded with a little better engine, much better hydraulics, a better front wheel drive setup, etc. --->Paul
