RAB, Sorry, What is basement power? I never mentioned that so it must be a regional phrase. I NEVER connect my generator to any outlets in my home and connect lights and appliances to the extension cords coming directly from the generator OUTSIDE the house. There is NOTHING unsafe about this method of generator use. I have re-read my post and stick by it.
