Rough opening should be 2 in. wider and if it has a threshhold 21/2 in. higher.If it opens from living quarters into. garage make sure to add wheather-stripping to keep out car exhaust.Also in this area doors opening into garage from the house must be self closing either with spring loaded hinges or a closer.
