OT installing a New door

Well, we bought the farm in Oct. Got all moved in and now the wife wants a door fron the kitchen to the garage. Doesn't like walking around to the other door when it's raining. So if I put in a standard 3-0 door how big should the rough opening be. I am thinking a inch total. I will have to move some 110 and 220 outlets plus a water spiket before I open up the walls for the door. First owner made that a busy spot. Thanks for your thoughts.
