Carb help!

Help. I have a Case 800 tractor that I aquired a couple months ago. It sat about 6 months was run and sat for another 6 months. When I went to start it, the carb flooded and gas was leakingout between the air inlet and the carb body. I figured it was the float sticking so I bought a "kit" at Napa and cleaned and "rebuilt" the carb. The carb is a Marvel-Schebler TSX7?? model. I put things back together and turned on the gas no leaks but over night the carb started to leak again. It"s almost leaking worse than before and looks like gas is leaking from the slot shaped hole near the air inlet and is filling up the inlet area. Next. I was able to get the carb dryed out and put gas in the tank and got it to start (before it flooded) and run for about 3-5 minutes then it died. I was able to get it to start again but can only get it to run for about 30-60 seconds before it would quit. I tried ajusting the carb needle valve between tries with no improvement. What could be wrong here? THANKS for the help!!!!!!
