I also rebuild a lot of carbs. I have been doing it for about 35 years now. I am very careful when disassembling, and use equal care when reassembling. I always take precautions to ensure that the carb is squeaky clean, and all adjustments are correct. It used to be that installing a new needle valve and seat would guarantee that the carb would not leak fuel, and I never used to have any problems. It just isn't that way anymore, and I know I am not alone in this matter. There are way too many people having trouble for you to be able to blame the problem on lack of skill.
