Exhaust manifold tightening torque

What is the tightening torque of the exhaust manifold for a 1955 Fordson Major Diesel? I"ve seached the Intenet and this site and I"ve found manifold torque specs for different engines (but not the Major). They range from 20 to 50 ft-lb. I don"t want to brake the manifold so a correct value for this engine would be highly appreciated.
