Our calves are on the Pfizer Gold program. Shots at turnout and 2 weeks prior to selling/weaning in the fall. We sell calves at an invitational sale held by the purebred breeder who we buy bulls from. All calves on the sale are on The Gold program and come from some of the best farms in the area. Large lots of quality Charolais calves, and the buyers love it. We see a 5 to 10 cent premium for our calves. Every animal on the place gets (or rather got) Dectomax in early December. Cows get Bovi-shield prior to breeding season. Scour guard prior to calving. Good herd health pays. John
