I had a wisc that acted the same way. I put 2 sets of points & cond in it & I replaced the coil. Every time it would die it didn't have spark. If I used the points file just a little it would run a while again. A old friend that ran a shop over 50 years came down & brought NOS points & cond , same thing. We couldn't think of anything else to do so we gave up. A couple days later he called & said put that back in the shop. We took the plate out of the dist. that the points & cond fasten to, sanded the edges and the dist where it fits in. When we put it back together it never quit again. It was loosing ground for the points
