OT--Fuel mileage for F-250 Diesel

Always wanted a Ford F-250 4X4 Super-cab short-box Diesel pickup. Automatic transmission--3.73 gears. Finally after 3 years of looking for a low mileage used one, I found one. 2004 XLT with 5,500 miles. Just about as perfect a used truck you could buy. Has $1,000 worth of chrome, spray in bedliner, and billet grill. $30,000 is what it cost me. FX-4 option--pretty much loaded. Do you think it was a good buy? {I do}. Anyway what can I REALLY expect for fuel mileage?
