I have a 1997 F-250 turbo-diesel 4x4 extended cab with auto and 4.11 gears. I get 15 mpg when driving to town and in town. On the rare occasion when I get over to I-5 and can crank it up to 70, I get 20 mpg. Over 70, it drops back down to 15. Of course, this is for a 7.3 liter engine and you have the 6 liter, so your mileage may vary.
