I agree with what you said, in many cases. This may be one. But I'm sure you know that on many of these new engines, they can dial up the boost pressure, along with the fuel delivery very easily. It wouldn't surprise me if somebody got a little better mileage doing this. However, I don't think that could be done on an old powerstroke. At least not until they came out with the HEUI. FWIW,
