Replacement starter

I just put a "new" starter on my '43 Farmall M. I've run into one problem: the starter I removed had a bolt that went through the circular connector at the end of the positive line that bolted the line to the starter. No such place exists on the new starter. There is a copper looking nub on the side of the starter that is flat on two sides and curved on the two ends. I tried to remove it from the starter housing thinking that is where I would bolt the hot line, but turning it did not remove it. Since there is nothing else (apparently) to attach the line to, I'm confused as to what I do to attach the hot wire to the starter. Help!!!
