It's a shame you can't do the work yourself, but, I would do what ever it takes to get Dad's Tractor up and running. And if Mom can't see spending the money, then you need to put it on the back burner untill you can. If Mom want's to give up and let it go, then you need to buy the Tractor. A few hugs, and ten dollars a week will work wonders with Mom's. I also think you can come up with a block for much less than 650...And this, you can take to the Bank" If you let Dad's tractor go, you won't need transportation in later life, you'll be kicking yourself everwhere you go.
