Three words for you. John Deere////ebay. First I would look at the L series John Deere. I have an L110 that is about the best buy on the market at $1800. It's a far better built machine than many think. I have owed a JD 110 (60's), JD 212, and JD 160, and the L110 cuts better, runs smooter, turns better and has better safety features than any of them. Just don't plan on using it for anything other than mowing grass and you will be impressed. Other idea is to check out ebay, there are some great deals to be had on used mowers, some in almost new condition.
