Could be trash in the line. //try blowing back mildly. e carefull because air pressure can cause static. Dont want a spark with fuel vapors around.
Could be the cap vent is clogged. Try removing the cap the next time it happens and listen to the tank to see if there is a suction noise.
Vapor lock? Try pour water over the fuel pump and lines to see if it will start again. If it does then it will likely be vapor lock and post back.
