Blowby is usually the amount of compression and/burned gases that are passing by the piston rings into the crank case and is not available to push the piston down the cylinder with quite as much force, therefore resulting in a reduction in the amount of twisting force exerted to the power train of the machine which in this case would be the pulling wheels of the tractor and/or the pto shaft.
