Farmall H with no compression

I did a comression test on the # 4 cylinder because it wasn"t firing. It didn"t read anything so I put some oil in the cylinder and did the compression test again and it still didn"t read anything. I figured it was just a bad valve so I took the head off and valve didn"t really look bad at all. It"s been about a month since I put the oil in the cylinder and when I took head off there was still a lot of oil left. I have been using the tractor pretty hard in the last month and wouldint think that the oil would stay so maybe it could be bad rings? I don"t know any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
