Thanks for all your help, This morning I bought a vintage NH 467 haybine, it's in nice shape and the price was right at 900 bucks. The ol'timer I bought if from said he needed a newer 12' one because his "roids" can't take the seat time anymore lol... I figure i'll sell the Discbine and pay for the haybine and a lifetime supply of Preperation H :)
