I know how you feel. I am a member of generation X (just turned 37). The generation you speak of is that of my grandparents. They (ALL OF THEM) were/are truly the greatest generation.

Have also lost my grandparents. I was close to them and knew about their lives. Grandfather came of age during the depression--went off to war. Was captured by the Germans and spent about six months as a POW at Stalag IVB.

The things these men/women endured for us and our future are to be remembered-I share in your loss.
