That's one of the downfalls of biodiesel if run in high or pure concentrations. It will eat and destroy anything rubber over time. That's why most places are running 80% dinosaur and 20% soybean. As far as filters clogging, you either didn't have a good clean source or it could have been from rubber fuel line parts disintegrating and clogging the system.
