In the early eighties I purchsased all my freinds dads WW2 ribbons[not medals]from the main exchange at Camp Lejuene.Someone told me I should have had documentation to purchase later,but at the time I just had his dads list.I also purchased generals stars for my leather jacket and staff sargents stripes to have abilitly to sneak into the staff club at Indian Head Maryland.Nobody ever asked for any documentation.Civilians work at the main exchanges and dont really care what you buy there just give a list of what you need to a guy on active duty.He will be glad to get them for you.
