A JD plateless planter would do it. I have a friend who plants several acres of pumpkins as well as corn (sweet, field and indian ) with a 1240 and swears by it. For small fields of vine crop planting, I found that marking the field at 90degree angles while sowing fertilizer in one direction then planting by hand made it possible to cross cultivate, which cut out alot of hoeing and still gave fairly good weed control. You plant where your marks cross, if you want 6' sapcing like for pumpkins or squash you do every other mark. HTH
