Sounds like those prices were Deere shop bills for the entire job.
The 466 engine road ok in that tractor frame. However the 531/619 ended up being a stressed structual member part of the frame. Seems the engine engineers and chassis engineers didn't get together on that one.
Gaskets don't seal worth a darn as the engine is twisted back and forth along it's entire length all day.
Not good for the crank, bearing and main block webs when they are turning while not being inline.
The 531/619 in other applications was considered a pretty stout engine.
