With the next generation being half as big as the one now retiring, you should be able to buy your place in the country for less than half-price. The next generation is going to get such bargains, it's unbelievable. A terrific transfer of wealth from the old to the young. In order to keep the economy going, they'll have to tear down two houses and replace them with one big one. By the way, unless you're a Christian Scientist, the most important thing for location when you're retired is how far you are from a good clinic and hospital. Oh yeah, it ain't going to get cheaper to drive anywhere.
