I don't think I would use it in an engine. It's an extreme pressure anti-wear additive: ie a Zinc-Phos compound in SAE 30 or 20W base oil. You all ready have a good amount of this additive if you are using a diesel oil which I assume if it is a 15W40. It does great things for hydrostatic pumps/motors and hydraulic systems. HyTran (sp?) does not contain any because it causes more clutch/brake slip. I always add it to HyTran if it is not in a brake or powershift compartment which has clutches. They removed much of the Zinc-Phos in gasoline engine oil because it plugs the Cat converter. I have considered putting some into gas oil, because it has good anti-wear properties, but have decided not to screw with the OEM's formulation.
