Are you sure there isn't a freeze plug hole that you could a block heater in? I'm not too familiar with the new/small Deere's, but I just worked on a 6300 three weeks ago, and I know that one had a block heater, fuel heater, and transmission heater set-up. Seems like the block heater was on the left side of the engine. You should call a Deere dealer and see what they reccomend. If you want my opinion, go with a tank heater. Tank heaters have a huge advantage over block heaters, because they actually circulate hot coolant through the engine.
