I dont know why this works but when I moved out to my house in the rurals, the previous owner had all these coffee cans and jars around the perimeter of the house. They were about half filled with linseed oil. I didnt think much of it and threw most of them away. Well, wasnt I shocked when I found one packed to the top with dead field mice one day! I dont know why but the mice climb in and maybe get stoned from the fumes then they dive in head first and drown. Seems to work really good around my house.
